![]() I expected to see some tun0 interface, but instead i found an as0t0 and as0t1 interface. I am however very unfamiliar with the way amazon works. The not so easy part is to setup AWS so that the openVPN server on it actually follows through, and I guess it is a question of routing. I also tried to put the device directly as dmz to make sure it was not a local problem. Instead we use a gl inet 300 acting as an openVPN client, connect said device on it, and port forward the 44158 port through it. However, some ISPs do CGNAT so we cannot do this. The standard use case on a regular ISP network router would be to redirect that 44158 TCP port to the IP of the device, same port, and call it a day. Hi, i have the exact same problem as the OP, probably because I am trying to connect the same device ! Server Operating System, Number of CPU Cores, Memory etc.Can spin up AWS server and screenshot failed attempts at modifying OpenVPN / AWS Load Balancers Need port 44158 open for a device on the OpenVPNĤ) What are the steps to reproduce the problem? Can't port forward through OpenVPN server/AWS What is the problem that you are experiencing?.Tried a lot more but just can't figure out what to do.Įdit: Updating with information requested by bot: Made sure the ports are forwarded on the router. ![]() Tried assigning security groups via AWS. Tried running CLI commands on the server via these instructions: Creating a load balancer on AWS to open the port (keeps saying OutOfService) I have it connected to the server and it's going to the AWS assigned IP just fine. I'm currently using a GL-AR300M router that takes. I have access to the OpenVPN AccessServer console:Įxisting OpenVPN Server hosted on AWS EC2Įssentially, I'm trying to get port forwarding to work for port 44158. ![]() I recently installed OpenVPN from the AWS Marketplace APP ( ). ![]()
